Located in Bedford, the Clubhouse for Special Needs provides a safe and fun place for teens and young adults with mild to moderate, mental/physical challenges to meet with opportunities for education, socialization and independence in a recreational atmosphere. The Clubhouse is in need of cash donations at this time. They have had to reduce staff and are having difficulties paying water and electricity bills. You can give a gift at church any Sunday in September designated for "The Clubhouse" or drop it in the donation box on the Welcome Table. You can also contribute directly on their web site at http://www.theclubhouse.org/donate/ If you prefer to donate items instead, here is what The Clubhouse is requesting:
The Clubhouse also participates in the Kroger "Neighbor to Neighbor" charitable giving program. Simply present the bar-code below to your Kroger’s cashier upon checkout. After they have scanned your Kroger Plus Card you will be enrolled for the current year (July 1, 2011, to April 30, 2012). Every time you shop at Kroger and use your enrolled Kroger Plus Card, Kroger will contribute a percentage of your eligible purchases to the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation fund for The Clubhouse (you only need to have the bar-code scanned once; it will be active for the remainder of the program year). |
