An urgent message from the GRACE Pantry began “As of August 11, the GRACE Food Pantry is out of….” The list extended down the page and onto a second page. Due to the high cost of utility bills many families are facing because the extreme heat conditions, GRACE has a higher numbers of families coming for assistance, and more people are going to the Pantry for food so the inventory is running out.

GRACE has asked Abiding Grace if we can provide the following two items: sugar and cooking oil. We will be collecting these items this Sunday and next (August 21 and 28).

If you want to help directly, you can bring any items on their list of needs to the food pantry located at 837 Walnut Street in Grapevine. The list includes ramen noodles, ketchup, mayo, dry pinto beans, dry white rice, crackers, spaghetti sauce, bag pasta, Spam, cooking oil, syrup, juice drinks, peaches, mixed fruit cocktail, shampoo, conditioner, lunch meat, hamburger, hot dogs, apples, oranges, lettuce, cabbage, onions and potatoes.
