Outreach for February and March is Compassion International, a Christian child advocacy ministry. Bridgette Shamburger of our congregation will be going to Quito, Ecuador, in April on a mission trip with Compassion International to help mothers learn how to play and care for their children in a Christian home. This is an area where almost 25% of children die due to the extreme poverty.  We can support Bridgette by providing small items which she can pack: here are suggested items to date:
  • 50 4"x6" acrylic frames
  • 50 sets of nail clippers and files or manicure sets
  • Alcohol swabs
  • Hair clips
  • Hair bands (that can be decorated)
  • Beads, flowers, ribbons that can be used to decorate hair bands
  • Glue guns and hot glue sticks
  • Jewelry-making beads and ribbons
Also, cash donations can be made which be used to purchase Spanish-language children's 'beginner' Bibles.

Update! “Women in Stitches” have enough fleece to make all needed blankets for Bridgette's trip to Ecuador. No more donations of fleece are needed. Thank you!
