The BRAVE was formed in 2010 to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for adults with intellectual disabilities in North Tarrant County, Texas.

"Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be BRAVE in the attempt."

A local program for Special Olympics started in 2010 for adults with special needs in North Tarrant County Texas, serving Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake, Keller etc. The mission of Special Olympics is "...to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
