"Tribute to Jim" Blood Drive

posted Dec 23, 2014, 5:25 AM by Webmaster AGLC   [ updated Jan 27, 2015, 5:44 AM ]

Update: we collected 21 units of blood on January 18! Thanks to all members, friends and neighbors of Abiding Grace who donated.

Last summer our late brother Jim Fawks passionately told us of the life-giving gift of the donation of blood. He told us that one pint of blood can save three lives, and that one of the lives saved by blood donations had been his own. The response of the congregation was overwhelming as we filled every available donation slot that day.

On Sunday, January 18, we will hold our second semi-annual blood drive. We will honor Jim's memory by making our blood drives a tribute to him. Reserve a spot at the Abiding Grace blood drive today by signing up now online. A sign-up sheet will be available on the Outreach bulletin board at church in early January.

Sunday, January 18, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
